Sarolta Monspart Award for Seniors
Monspart Sarolta Award for Elderly People
The ’Monspart Sarolta Award for Elderly People’ may be conferred in recognition of outstanding activities carried out to preserve the physical and mental activity and well-being of elderly people, as well as to strengthen solidarity with older people.
The Monspart Sarolta Award for Elderly People not only recognizes those who work day after day for this age group and for the activity of older people, but is also an appropriate way to commemorate Sarolta Monspart. Sarolta Monspart, a Member of the Nation’s Sportsmen and Women, devoted inexhaustible energy throughout her life to encouraging elderly people to remain active and lead a healthy lifestyle. She also drew attention to the fact that exercising in a community prevents loneliness and isolation.
The award was established in 2021 by Katalin Novák, then Minister without Portfolio responsible for Families.
Since spring 2023, the award has been presented pursuant to Decree 2/2023. (III. 8.) of the Ministry of Culture and Innovation on the recognitions that may be conferred by the Minister responsible for Culture and Innovation.
Three Monspart Sarolta Awards for Elderly People may be conferred each year, exclusively to natural persons. Award recipients receive a commemorative medal and a certificate confirming the award. The award includes a cash prize of HUF 500,000.
